LocoTech-Signal and Ctrl2GО Create a Competence Center for Machine Vision in Technical Engineering

The Ctrl2GО Group is creating a Competence Center for machine vision in technical engineering under LocoTech-Signal (part of the Ctrl2GО Group). An AI-based digital solution allows controlling trains remotely with minimum input from humans.

The system analyzes data from numerous sensors and makes decisions on train operation faster than the most focused and alert train driver. Namely, it provides reliable monitoring of the driver’s state and actions, energy-efficient operation of the train itself, and detects obstacles to prevent collisions.

Train remote control can be carried out using a portable or stationary remote control. Additional functions (now in development) will allow assigning certain tasks that the train will automatically carry out on its own.

Machine vision is the most demanded technology today; it allows improving driving performance with expanded infrastructure diagnostics.

“Machine vision is applied in almost all areas, including transport operation. The system developed by our Center of Competence meets all railway safety requirements. It will allow optimizing production and organizational resources, and the investment will return quickly. The system is also easy to configure and can be used on any train,” noted Andrey Romanchikov, General Director of LocoTech-Signal.

The system can be used for shunting operations, on mainlines, and at industrial facilities.
