"PRO // Motion.EXPO": presentation of digital solutions for traffic control to the Head of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov
Digital solutions for traffic control were presented to the Head of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov within the framework of the International Railway “1520 area” Fair "PRO // Motion.EXPO. Andrey Romanchikov, Managing Director for the Development of Intelligent Control Systems at Transmashholding and Head of LocoTech-Signal LLC, spoke about the advantages of the CTRL@TRAFFIC 200 complex solution for automating the control of shunting movements at large stations and industrial transport.
CTRL@TRAFFIC 200 has three components. The CTRL@VISION 100 system is responsible for the detection and classification of objects and obstacles, determination of the distance to them, recognition of traffic light signals and the position of the turnouts, as well as the precise train positioning. The effectiveness of the system has been confirmed through tests. The obstacle detection range is at least 100m, the position and speed determination errors are no more than 1m and 1 km/h, respectively (in shunting mode).
The second component is the CTRL@DRIVE automatic driving mode (developed by AVP Technology), which provides automatic traction and braking control, the third component is CTRL@SAFE (developed by Transtelesoft) automatic train protection system, continuously monitors the speed and location of the locomotive.
The integrated solution CTRL@TRAFFIC 200 is designed to speed up shunting operations (by up to 30%), reduce the number of workers employed in them, reduce the energy consumption of shunting locomotives by up to 10% and increase safety by eliminating human errors.
