TMH Smart systems supplied the CTRL@LOCK 200 interlocking system to Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex

September 2022, TMH Smart Systems equipped the railway section “st. Razvyazka - st. Yoshlik” of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AGMK) with the CTRL@LOCK 200 microprocessor interlocking system. Now the transportation of ore and rock mass will become more efficient and safe.

The CTRL@LOCK 200 system is designed for contactless control of switches, traffic lights and other railway infrastructure facilities. Dispatching personnel will be able to set the train route, control the parameters of equipment operation and identify pre-failure conditions through an automated local control center. Hot redundancy of key components has a positive effect on fault tolerance and reduces rolling stock downtime.

The modernization of train traffic control systems is part of the large-scale investment project of the AGMK to expand production capacity at the “Yoshlik 1” mine. As part of the project, 7.4 km of electrified railways were built, 13 sets of turnouts were installed. Modern automation will increase the capacity reserves of the line, reduce operating costs, shorten intervals and improve traffic safety. On the eve of the ceremony, the triumhp cutting of the symbolic red ribbon took place, which launched the operation of electric locomotives on the new section of the railway.

“The implemented CTRL@LOCK 200 interlocking system will be operated in difficult conditions of quarrying mining, including blasting, dust, and vibrations. We are confident in the reliable operation of the equipment, and, as a result, in improving the level of traffic safety on the railway infrastructure of the “Yoshlik 1” mine, - comments Artur Keyan, Sales Director of TMH Smart Systems in the CIS.
