TMH Smart System and NII TM will jointly create systems for urban rail traffic control

TMH Smart Systems, a partner of the Transmashholding group, the largest developer and manufacturer of rolling stock for railway and urban rail transport in the CIS, and JSC Scientific Research Institute of Precision Mechanics (NII TM) signed an agreement on a strategic partnership in order to jointly promote products for urban rail transport.

The document was signed by Oleg Antonov, General Director of NII TM, and Andrey Romanchikov, General Director of TMH Smart System, Managing Director of TMH for the Development of Intelligent Control Systems.

As part of the licensing agreement, the parties intend to cooperate in areas related to the distribution of joint solutions for traffic control of urban rail transport and on-board safety systems. The partners intend to jointly develop and supply technologies for microprocessor interlocking and traffic control for urban rail transport, expand the product line and enter new sales markets.

The signed document is a continuation of the successful cooperation between TMH Smart System and NII TM, which began in 2021. Earlier in October 2021, a memorandum of cooperation was signed on the development and supply of solutions for traffic and rolling stock management.

The signatories of the agreement consider it a promising task to increase the efficiency and safety of transportation processes in urban transport, modernize and update traffic control systems, increase the availability and demand for urban rail transport.

“NII TM is the leading institute in Russia, which develops complex fault-tolerant microprocessor control systems. By joining forces, we will begin work on projects for the implementation of microprocessor control and dispatching systems for the subway, including unmanned metro project, an integrated tram control system, including on-board equipment,” commented TMH Smart Systems CEO, TMH Managing Director for the Development of Intelligent control systems Andrey Romanchikov.
