TMH Smart Systems has implemented a microprocessor semi-automatic blocking system for Taldinskoye PTU LLC (part of Kuzbassrazrezugol)

In the course of joint work, a new CTRL@SBLOCK 200 semi-automatic interlocking system was designed, installed and commissioned at the Uskatskaya – Taldinskaya Park B section. The opening of two single-track sections equipped with the new system took place at the end of December 2021.

CTRL@SBLOCK 200 designed to maximize the throughput capacity of the infrastructure on hauls in the process of coal transportation, as well as to improve traffic safety. The core of the system is a programmable logic controller manufactured by Schneider Electric, adapted to customer requirements. Such adaptation will make it possible to use it for control and diagnostics of crossings, coding at stations, rail fencing and other signaling devices, and also allows solving issues of linking them with relay systems of electrical interlocking.

CTRL@SBLOCK 200 came to replace the obsolete relay system based on the RPB-82 album, which made it possible to completely abandon the copper cable between the posts of signaling control at stations and use a fiber optic cable. Moreover, the introduction of CTRL@SBLOCK 200 made it possible to significantly reduce the number of relays in operation - from 100 to 32 pieces.

“Kuzbassrazrezugol is one of our most important strategic partners. We are already negotiating the implementation of this system in other railway sections,” said Andrey Romanchikov, General Director of TMH Smart Systems (TMH SMART, formerly LocoTech-Signal, rebranded).

“Introduction of the semi-automatic interlocking system allowed the company to get away from theft of copper-containing cables used to transmit the blocking signal, the cost of maintaining and repairing the cable line. We hope for reliable operation of the equipment, and, as a result, for an increase in the level of traffic safety at the Taldinskoye junction,” comments Alexander Kargin, General Director of Taldinskoye PTU LLC.
